Introduction

The Cross Party Group on Cancer is delighted to support the eighth annual Scotland Against Cancer Conference organised by Cancer Research UK.

Scotland Against Cancer plays an important role in influencing political opinion on cancer policy.  We look forward greatly to participating in the conference and to the resulting report and recommendations which will be taken forward by the Cross Party Group on Cancer. 

Scotland Against Cancer affords delegates the opportunity to hear from others working in cancer prevention, treatment, care and research, but crucially, to feed in their own experience and expertise through the discussion groups. 

This year the theme of the conference will be ‘Putting Policy into Practice’; looking at how we can turn our knowledge into action, whether that’s in cancer prevention, treatment or care.    

We hope you will join us at Scotland Against Cancer 2010 on Monday 28th June at the Stirling Management Centre, and help make this year’s conference the most successful and influential to date.
